Mississauga, ON, March, 14, 2012 – FUJIFILM Canada Inc. is pleased to announce the recent installation of an Inca Spyder V UV flatbed printer with ColorGATE workflow at North American Decal, a screen and digitally printed decal product supplier based in Markham.

This 50 year-old industry leader has been making the best use out of both screen and digital printing technologies as early as the year 2000. They have built up expertise in digital wide format technologies having experienced several printers in the last decade. "Our experience with the Spyder has been excellent. We have found the learning curve with the Inca Spyder to be very smooth" said Sagar Joshi, Vice President.

As a business strategy to diversify revenue, North American Decal has been expanding its portfolio from its core products, such as safety warning decals and vehicle graphics which typically require screen or solvent printing for durability to more intricate print products such as retail POPs. This transition necessitated a flatbed printer with industrial capacity and ability to print white for many of their customers’ projects that require printing on dark-coloured substrates.

North American Decal is a family owned premier supplier of screen and digitally printed decal products in the US and Canada. North American Decal was founded in 1962 as an offset printer and began specializing in screen printing in the 70’s. Today, it is an award winning ISO 9001 registered company that employs 40 staff members. It is also a pioneer in the screen printing industry in terms of environmental processes, winning the 2007 Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment Pollution Prevention Award – Overall Pollution Prevention Efforts.
