Pressroom Audits

Overview

The Fujifilm professional services team can provide you with pressroom enhancement services by analyzing on press performance and assisting you implementing quality control processes. By assisting you in implementing existing industry standards such as Gracol, you can enhance your pressroom performance to boost productivity and profits. They can provide statement-of-work based consultations in order provide the exact results you need.

A confidential, comprehensive evaluation of the customers operation. A Pressroom Audit provides a thorough and analytical fact-finding study of the Pressroom operations. It reveals the kind of information needed to identify improvements which increases productivity or reduce cost, such as:
  • Fewer plate remakes
  • Less waste at makeready
  • Fewer proofing cycles
  • More consistent output
  • Eliminate wasted time and effort

Once our Fujifilm Professional Services Consultant observes your current operating procedures, they will address these following areas:
  • Streamlining techniques and bringing equipment presently in use up to the highest operating potential
  • Introduce more efficient methods of operating
  • Instruct pressroom personnel in the proper use of more efficient operating methods
  • Recommend proper QC tools to keep equipment in proper working order

Since every plant is unique, a customized checklist will be developed based on our observations and measurements during the fact-finding process. The checklist will consist of the following:
  • Checking the calibration of all output devices including proofing systems and presses
  • Checking fountain solution pH and conductivity
  • Checking blankets and rollers on press
  • Evaluation of printed sheet with colour quality control bars and targets
  • Evaluation of press sheet to proof match

The Pressroom Audit is not complete until a meeting is held with our FUJI Professional Services consultant and your Management team to discuss the findings and our recommendation that may include:
  • New techniques or practices to ensure more consistent output
  • Methods ( GRACoL / SWOP/SNAP) to improve print quality
  • Ways to improve existing maintenance programs for optimum production
  • Troubleshooting the top 20 pressroom problems your pressman face daily

Put our expertise to work for you.
