Fujifilm Announces the Launch of the Newly Developed xD-Picture Card™ Type M M2GB

Mississauga, ON - Fuji Photo Film Co., Ltd. is proud to announce the introduction of the new 2GB version of the compact xD-Picture Card™ digital camera storage media. The new xD-Picture Card™ Type M M2GB* will be commercially available October 2006 at a retail price of $120.00.

The xD-Picture Card™, launched in September 2002, has earned a popular following as a compact digital camera storage media. The new 2GB version was developed to meet customer requirements for larger capacity storage.

The xD-Picture Card™ TypeM M2GB is based on the high-density MLC (Multi Level Cell) memory technology, making it possible to pack 2 GB of capacity in a compact (20mm x 25mm x 1.7mm) card. This new technology offers storage capacity potential of up to 8GB.

Fujifilm will continue to boost the performance of the xD-Picture Card™ to meet the trend for increasingly high-resolution digital cameras and the diversification of shooting styles.
