What is FUJIFILM's policy on dust, debris, and scratches on the camera's CCD?

Question:
What is FUJIFILM's policy on dust, debris, and scratches on the camera'sCCD?

Answer:
This camera is equipped with a CMOS photosensitive element. This CMOS sensor is located behind the shutter. If dust or other matter attaches to the surface of the sensor and pictures are then taken, this soiling may appear as spots in the image, depending on the camera settings and the type of subject. If this occurs, the sensor must be cleaned. Because the surface of the sensor is extremely fragile, wherever possible the camera should be returned to a FUJIFILM service facility for cleaning (for a charge). Any repairs carried out by an authorized FUJIFILM service facility to sensors that were scratched or damaged during cleaning by the customer will be charged to the customer. Note that such repairs will probably involve replacing the CMOS sensor and may be expensive.
